Projects lined up for the Club this new Year:

MONTH OF JULY - LITERACY MONTH

• Distribution of Kits for Kids to some of the rural preschools on Upolu, Savaii and Manono Islands.

• Sorted second-hand books from the Ranfurly Library in Australia and distributed them to two Primary Schools and three Secondary Schools.

• Presentation of checks to various Charity Organisations to assist with projects and their schools.

• Presentation  of Wheelchairs to the Health Department for distribution.
   

MONTH OF AUGUST - MEMBERSHIP MONTH

• Repainting of our Town Clock - a War Memorial in the heart of Apia on the 12th of August 2006.

• Presentation of Baby Monitors to the National Hospital in Upolu.

•  Melbourne Cup Fundraiser - start the preparation work for the big day in November.

• Rotaract Club of Apia starts their Community Projects - School Quiz with 12 Secondary Schools participating. 8-week program that will officially start 12th August 2006.

• Rotary Club of Apia will be hosting a group of plastic surgeons from Australia, called Interplast from the 20th of August to the 26th, with a picnic or a cocktail during their stay in Samoa.
